Player's physics are ovrridden on join to half speed. Sprinting doubles speed. This is to overcome the position resetting glitch.

Removed shields mod. Added dmobs mod since it's an optional dependency of fun_caves.
It's pretty hard, I'm not even -1K down and keep dying. l'll likely add a bandaging mod, because the food items raise satiation and do not restore health points. Full satiation (hunger bar) will regenerate health, however.

Changed port to 30000. Turned off "armor heal" and lowered armor effectiveness.
Experimenting with a healing aid with the Moon Juice: Use to restore HP and satiation (hunger). Added 'shop' and 'superpick' mods.
Added kpgmobs, mobs_fish, and mobs_sharks. Removed armor indicator from HUD.

fun_caves and minetest/mtg updated. Added enchanting, and raised armor effectiveness slightly. Added a bandage mod. Added boost_cart. Changed default mob def knock_back value from 3 to 0.
Posted two new (1 hour) videos to the main post. Turned server_announce on and strict_protocol_version_checking off.

Added backpacks: one wool, and one leather. Hunger has been modified such that you need full satiation (hunger bar) before any regeneration of hearts takes place. Also, you will not receive hunger damage until hunger is completely drained. Once drained, damage occurs and you can no longer sprint.
3d_armor now works in conjunction with elixirs. I think, unless there's something I messed up and missed. Armor effectiveness has been further reduced.

Minetest Mapper. Going to upload a full one soon. Thanks for the comment!
Edit: Here's a recent world overview image. It is the entire thing, so there are sky realms covering some portions of the ground surface.

Nice. Yeah pity about the overlap.... could try using the min-y / max-y params and produce several maps? (¬_¬)

Dear diary,
Today I went to the Fun Caves. I spawned in the desert in a nice little square.

There are shops and a cafe nearby in case I found it really hard, but I made it on my own....

And there are huge trees! And a village hidden in the leaves!

I took a trip to the sea and collected all kinds of coral!

The locals aren't so nice, but maybe if I learn the local language they'll be more welcoming

A friend took my to their hang out on a storm cloud

They have a coral lake with tropical fish there too!

... and dangerous animals....

I also visited a winter wondercave.... I caught a cold :-(

My final stop was a creepy maze...

They definitely did not like me trespassing....

Wasn't me! I had a suspicion it would indeed turn out like this so refrained from eve doing it on my test instance.
Wonder if that's when I was having so much lag yesterday :-p

Turns out that's exactly what it was.
I decided to find honey to tame a bear (I guess we won't be seeing farming on this server?) and went to the first North tree - which is the one that's on fire.
I tried to go further up to head off the fire and see if I could prevent it from spreading - but in going up I kicked off node generation and extra ABM and it spread like, well, wildfire; simultaneously causing lag for other players.
A new user Miner was very much distraught at this act of vandalism and has vowed to hunt down the perpetrator ;-)
If it happens again I might just go in with a jackhammer and a few chainsaws and separate the burning and non-burning parts..... trying to place water is futile....

I took it down, but plan to move it to an older box. When I do, I also intend to get the map uploaded and the game files (mods) all together, like in a sub-game.

Everything should still be there... the full data from the old server was restored.
Fun Caves has received some updates since, and the mod was updated on the server so a cuple things have changed.... One special stone has been removed, zoisite, so there will be unknown items there...
Apart from that, all should be restored

The rest of the data is there, my house too, unchanged. I found my whole mooshroom farm covered of brown guys! Evermazah house is looking nice, like a little store. Also can i use a bit your mine?
