Nope, I'm the original Kibbie, and JT2 is still my home so I'm a little concerned about this hybrid impersonator. That name showed up on our server, using the same IP address Baggins uses - and now I see it in Baggins' screenshots. I mean, ExeterDad and Micah are awesome, so that's not the issue. I'm trying to be flattered, but it kinda feels like the Minetest equivalent of being hog tied and thrown in someone's trunk. :O

I improved the protection wand so there is feedback when an area is not protected. It was a bit of a nuisance to use otherwise.

In addition, new players are now provided a more useful selection of items when they first join. This was long overdue, and I apologize.


Also I decided to remove the limitation on respawning too close to a bed. That was just a kludge, in my attempts to workaround a known exploit in the Minetest client-server protocol. The next build of Minetest S3 will fix the bed bug once and for all as well as a myriad of other back-end security and stability issues.

The Internet discriminates against all kids. Have you forgotten the "you must affirm that you are at least 13 years old" rule to join most websites and things?

No. And that was not what I was talking about. On all except the most strictly regulated sites, kids get treated the same way blacks were treated a century ago. It is as if it's a rule to insult kids. And "like a 5/9/12/13 year old kid" is an insult that is valid pretty much anywhere. Letting others know that you are a kid is the last thing you should do on any website. For, even those people who supposedly "love" their kid brothers and sisters and cousins, become very much like the monsters described in kids' horror tales on the Web. The Internet is full of hypocrites.

And if you are asking, I am not a kid.

There was always a tree farm near the corner of Sangamon Ave and Prairie St. It was owned by botumin, but I don't know if maybe it's no longer there?

So, can you point me to any useful locations, such as tree farms and mob farms? I don't know the server locations well.

Also, I joined with a new name (laggy) and only got the old stuff.

A map of spawntown can be found on jt2.intraversal.net (it needs to be expanded, but should still prove useful for navigating)

Here are a handful of popular destinations for newcomers:

• SerVesta's "SV" shop at the tail end of Church St
• Wuzzy's "Bones Bungalow" shop which straddles Main St and Acacia Blvd
• sasha2's public mine at the northeast corner of Crescent Dr and Holiday Dr
• botumin's public tree farm on Prairie St adjacent to the Red Line Subway
• GoldFireUn's public mob farm on Pine St just south of Broadmoor Ave

Of course, there are many other worthwhile places to check out, so I'd highly recommend exploring.

I must report some cheating/hacking. This group of killers came to my house: sneke, Mr_lag, and Limon4ik. I killed sneke and I noticed something fishy.



The top rows were full of items, but as soon as sneke died and respawn far enough away that I couldn't see his bones, I saw this. He or someone else was removing his items. I was fighting them until I realized it was hopeless because at least one of them was cheating.

Are you sure Mr_Lag wasn't removing the items from the bones while you were viewing them?
