FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

My friend and I always could get on his server but not mine. As soon as he got the Zelda texture pack I couldn't get on to his server. Has anyone experienced this problem? If so how do you fix it?

The only thing I can think of is that the client might take a long time to download the new textures.

I know I'm late on this, but there are a lot of mods. That may be your problem. The textures are 16x16. And I did do a little tinkering with the default init.lua. But I will have it fixed by the next update.
