I don't mean a subway map but a world map. That subway map is nice.

Server is down now. I don't know what causes this, but it's neither advtrains nor technic.

The Current state is that the server database got corrupted, and I haven't got any backups. I guess I deserved it. Maybe the server should be relaunched from ground up, and maybe some buildings can be recovered and moved. What do you think?

Do it if you can't recover the database. I can help with the subway...
Have you tried launching a copy of the map with ignore_world_load_errors?

There is right now some empty map, for test purposes, I have to try to isolate the problem in the next days to see if I can isolate it and solve it. I have got backups of the last (broken) state of the server

Orwell, can you upload your advtrains demo map? Maybe I'll build the new Linuxworks map based on your map, as it already has subways in it. Also, I'll upload the map tomorrow, feel free to extract any buildings you want to recover (if you're able to, I haven't so far), I'll insert them into the new map if you post them here.

No, I don't want to publish the map yet. It is far more than a demo map, but it's somewhat private to me and some friends. Maybe one day we will decide to publish it.
However, I would like to help you building new subway lines on your server, even with signal controlling. I suggest you add a spawn building and then let us create 2 or 3 initial subway lines, and when more buildings are added, we can build more lines.
Maybe you can already lay tracks for these initial lines, I can do the signalling later.
And if we had a main station near spawn, we could build passenger train lines to far-away cities.

EDIT: Ah, one request: use slabs and low platform nodes for the platforms, that looks better.
EDIT2: the wiki page http://www.linux-works.de/Wiki/MineTest under "Mods" is outdated
EDIT3: I have registered my account on the server. Apparently nothing's built yet.
EDIT4: Please immediately update advtrains, just recognized that the privilege enforcement did not work (this is a security leak)

THE SERVER IS UP AGAIN!!

I removed the lifter mod, it was causing all the problems.

I've grown quite fond of the ethereal mapgen, maybe we should make a new map and then migrate all the cool buildings to it, so we have all of them concentrated in one place. what do you think?
