LINUXWORKS MINETEST SERVER

This server incorporates some experimental mods, such as Orwell's advtrains.
It's address is:
http://www.linux-works.de:30000The rules are pretty much the same as on other servers:
- No stealing
- No griefing
- No dating
- No insults or arguing
- No ugly or half-finished buildings
- Avoid floating trees (Hopefully a new tree decay algorithm is coming soon)
- If you need help, ask (no shouting HELP! HELP! as it annoys other players)
- Make your buildings reachable by road and/or rail so other people can see them
- No fire
- Do trade stuff, buildings and areas
- Feel free to rent shops, as long as you actually use them
- Use apartments for storage, don't build "cobble boxes"
- Protect your areas
- No death traps, use the public mines to obtain building materials
- The spawn area is protected because of excessive griefing, please apply for building permission if you want to build there
Some tasks that get you rewards:
- Building roads and railways
- Building nice buildings
- New ideas
Subway Map:

Screenshots:

The spawn point (underneath the glowing glass dome), featuring the three big apartment buildings: Gabriel Plaza, Gabriel Plaza II and Gabriel Tower and the Spawn Elevated Railway and the terminus of the Northern Main Line.
One of the unique features is that everyone gets an apartment on joining this server to store stuff, type /aphome to return to it. It also features TNT, but it's only usable below -100 to prevent griefing.
Have fun!

The server is currently experiencing a lot of problems, it is getting a SIGTERM every couple of minutes, which I don't know where it comes from. I hope I can solve this in the next few days.

SIGTERM is a means of killing a process. It's usually invoked by the user that started the process or else the system administrator.
Hope this helps.

Well, I've narrowed it down to that, but it doesn't help me much, since I don't know what program caused it. I'm trying now more sophisticated tools, such as a program called snoopy. I hope it works.

You aren't running on a shared hosting or VPS account are you? Have you checked your anti-virus software settings?

Looks good! I'll try tomorrow and see if there are problems, because I'm not sure what exactly y'all are talking about.

Oh, it does shutdown every 30 seconds or something :P. I hope this problem gets fixed.

I really don't know what's causing it, but there seems to be a bug in the server. Once you go to a particular location, it does not seem to work any longer.

Advtrains is causing the crash when teleporting to a particular location, I don't know how to mitigate it, I don't have much time right now to debug this stuff.

gpcf you could try reverting to the older version of advtrains. I dont know if that will help but you could try it. although i got the latest working on my server and it seems to be ok. check out Trumpland minetest server at 96.230.218.149 port 30000 I'm there a lot.

The server is running relatively normally, it just seems to get slow from time to time, I don't know why that happens. Also, I just wanted to point out that just because there is a guy called Trump on my server that doesn't mean I endorse Trump's views.

I have opened two subway lines. Here's the map:

They should run every minute, unless there is a bug (which is quite likely at this stage).

The server is down, because of a bug in the minetest engine (see
https://github.com/minetest/minetest/issues/5169). I don't know how long it will take to fix this, and I may be moving this server to use git minetest instead of the Debian release soon, as a couple of bugs that were fixed a couple of weeks ago in the dev version are affecting my server. Please be patient.

This is a map of planned subways:

You will get in-game money if you build them as a reward.

The server is up again, I found the line in advtrains that was causing the engine to segfault (which shouldn't happen)

Can you please create an overview map with the python mapper (in util directory)?
