Yes you can.

There are 4 servers that may be referenced.
1) redcrab.suret.net port 30000 : old server with an old 0.4 version 06 january 2012 : for download and explanation see first post at http://minetest.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=606
2) redcrab.suret.net port 30031 : 0.3.1 version with free build privilege , see first post at http://minetest.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1380

Hey Redcrab ! Could you please protect my house(s) from Griefers ? (Someone griefed it/them three times)

(1st House) The coordinates are:

1st Corner: (455 / 20.5 / 167)
2nd Corner: (455 / 20,5 / 150)
3rd Corner: (437 / 22,5 / 150)
4th Corner: (437 / 21,5 / 167)

(2nd House) The coordinates are:

1st Corner (480 / 19,5 / 158)

Access denied. Reason: Your client's version is not supported.
Server version is 0.4.dev-20120606,
server's PROTOCOL_VERSION is 11, client's PROTOCOL_VERSION is 10
Help?
Oh, and 1 more thing, can I build please? In-game name is MESEPlaying. Thanks!

There is several 20120606 versions , you should check that you use the last one ..

Server wasn't down ...
Did you check that you use port 30401 on address redcrab.suret.net

@ existing player : Does someone got stuck by impossible join ?

BTW .. It seams that :
1) Only land owner can create sub land (add_owner command) in their territory.
2) Player have to be connected to be able to add/define ownership ...

May be an update is necessary into the node_ownership mod...

On this forum topic you may request a area to protect (anti grifer)
.. Visit , find a free nice area then (after pressing F5 to see your location ) you may request to protect your found area
like "From (x1,y1,z1) to (x2,y2,z2)" with x1,y1,z1 and x2,y2,z2 the diagonal of the wanted area to protect ...

Do not hesitate to find a place (your future protected area) far away from the spawn place
/sethome memorize your current location as your home location
/home can teleport you at your home
/spawn allows you to teleport at spawn location (no need to die :) )

No need to request protection , cactuzPL did it for me ....
I ve now a protected land inside nameless city , owned by cactuzPL... That's a great feature to have land owner that can subdivide into multiple protected smaller land ...
