Basic inworld commands
Any command is executed by using the chat window, it is invoked by pressing "T" or "/"
/status -- shows welcome message containing current online player list.
/spawn -- if you are lost or got stuck somewhere, this command teleports yourself to the "spawn" place, your very first location, and the respawn location when you die.
/sethome -- memorize your current location
/home -- teleport to the memorized location (done with /sethome)
/settexture -- choose your skin
/privs -- to see what are your current privileges. Example : shout = chat, interact = build/open doors/place etc... fast = you can run...
/sethome2 -- (need home2 privilege: see /granthome2 command) memorize your current location into a secondary location memory
/home2 -- teleport to the secondary memorized location (done with /sethome)
/setemail -- (see next section for details) provide your email to the system to allow you to have self-granted requests like /granthome2
/granthome2 -- request the privilege to be able to have a secondary home location.
/+online_score -- show your current online score (information used for the most online player web page).
Self-granted interact privilege (thanks to /setemail command)
New player won't have to ask to cactuz_pl to get build privilege!
How it works:
Let's say I'm a new player with a wished inworld name MrFoo
1) log into redcrab's minetest server with these info
Name : MrFoo password :*******
server : redcrab.suret.net port : 30401
2) When I'm In, I have no 'interact' privilege (no ability to build/dig/place/open doors...)
I can check my privilege by typing /privs .. should be "shout,fast" by default
I type in chat (Type 'T' or Type '/') then I type
/setemail mrfoo@mydomain.ext
of course replace mrfoo@mydomain.ext with your real personal email address.
WARNING : be sure to type correctly the email address
WARNING , if the email address is false or fake my "MrFoo" player inworld name will be locked (due to the password reset)
3) I will receive (shortly under few seconds) a message on screen saying that my password is reset then I will be eject to this world and I have to log in again into this world with the new password provided by email.
4) Press ESC to return to login screen, get your new password from your email.. that may takes time to arrive.
5) Log in with new password, then you may check that you have 'interact' privilege by typing /privs -- should give "shout,fast,interact".
Then: happy building!
If you didn't get your email after few hours, check your "spam" folder or request assistance on forum.
Note: after password reset, you may change the password back to your old password thanks to the change password feature (press ESC, click on change password button).
Area protection (anti-grief)
Self-protection request
All player that have "interact" (build) privilege is able to protect area by himself.
No need to request node protection on forum nor to privileged user (cactuz or myself)
When you're in-world, type the command /protect xstart,ystart,zstart xend,yend,zend
Example :
to protect an area from 1200,-30,850 to 1230,50,880 type
/protect 1200,-30,850 1230,50,880
This command has restrictions :
1) you can't protect by yourself more than 2 areas: define your areas wisely
2) if you currently have 2 or more protected areas you can't request more areas by yourself
3) area size can't be bigger than 32x128x32 (x, y, z sizes respectively)
/list_areas and /remove_areas works with /protect
If you are under constraint (more than 2 areas or would like larger areas), you still have to request protection on this forum.
meanwhile you have to motivate your request (why you need some much areas or so large area)
From now protection request on forum can be denied if it is not motivated with reason.
On forum protection request
If you want to protect your area (quite large, currently not protecting individual houses (small area) in a city )
a whole city or isolated player...
just post your ingame name + area coordinates ( like from x,y,z to x,y,z)

Then afterward if neomoe would like to authorize somebody to interact on whole or in part of his land to MrFoo then neomoe will execute this following command when MrFoo is online
