Well I'd try to keep the map at least. I really don't know whats going on.

test theory. can you create another server with the exact same load out thats in the current one and see if it crashes immediately?

Maybe a fresh start IS what we need - the city I was making was planned to be at coordinates 0,0,4000, but instead it's on top of a cliff nearby. And there was no room for the Imperial Fortress, so it just floats above the water. People's houses are too far out in the streets and just look weird, and there are numerous gaps in the security wall, the tunnel to the UnderLand is messed-up and the sneak elevators are on different sides in many random places, MESE doesn't generate at the level where the tunnel ends, Nyancats spawn in lava rivers and are almost impossible to ''save'', Durmia isn't built on an exact scale (street squares should be able to fill up the entire city with no half-squares and the gates should be in the center of the walls), the list goes on...but IDK, it may be best to keep this map, because we have all put a lot of work into building the cities here.
P.S. it seems like the error making it crash is centered on one point somewhere in the map (see the error data you posted, Menche) and it may work to go into SP mode and make that node ''air''

Oh, well it seems the map got corrupted...now there's no way to fix it...a new map is the only option - other than just shutting down the server forever.
Resources are abundant; only money is scarce. People should not have to work hard and remain poor just to pay for the needs of survival.
Society can thrive without money - but only if productive members of society are rewarded for being productive.

So, what does everyone think about this? If I start a new map, I would put a backup of the old one up for download, so you can play it in singleplayer or even host it yourself. Also, if I make a new map, I could worldedit some of the old structures in. I sort of want to start over, but I don't want to overly upset anyone.

My reasons for wanting to start over from scratch:
This is my first server, I'm just learning to manage it, rules and policies have been very volatile.
The map and players were transfered from the "test server" which was not meant to be permanent.
I wanted this to be a "legit building" server, but moderators have more privs than I originally intended, and are making extensive use of fly, teleport, and worldedit.
I want moderators to be only for policing the server, not super-players with special privileges.
I want have a more controlled policy for promoting moderators.
I want to have a more controlled policy for installing mods, to have a more polished feel and to keep stability and responsiveness.

Solution: save everything important in .we files i.e. //save durmia and back it up on your computer.

and load it when the map comes back, that's what;s infinity's doing. (this is for your earlier post) if they can

hey it wont let me on the server it says invalid password but i didnt even make a char sence he reset the server.

OK, server is up again. Sorry for the delay, I was packing / riding in the car, coming home from vacation, and couldn't work on it much. It does have a new map, but I will be worldediting in structures from the old world, tell me if you miss something. I transferred the auth.txt, so your passwords should be the same. Some of the mods have been update, most notably 3dforniture, which now adds round treetrunks and 3D papyrus. I added round conifer trunks and cacti.

its kind of a pain to do it like that.. world edit only save areas 15x15x15.. world edit is good for modular pieces that big. anything bigger than that and its almost impossible to know the cords or whitch blocks to hit to save the piece of whatever.
