Could this be a case of your computer having bad OpenGL support?
Try adding
Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
to minetest.conf.
0.3.1 has that in as default, and in turn it makes it run badly on some other computers. 8)

Then you need to update openGL drivers, and set the video driver back to opengl when you are done.

Errr I'll try... If you mean update my video card drivers, when I go to the website required to update them, (Intel) It says that they don't update a list of certain old video card drivers (And it includes mine) x_x

Meh, I like how the graphics are for Minetest already, and if there werent to many differences between that and the regular texture, I'd do it just to play 0.4.1, but I don't want to play it if It looks like a game made for a colorblind 8 year old :P No offense to the maker of the tp, I think anyone who makes a texture pack has got mad skills, and is a great person for releasing it to the public, but I wouldent be able to play with that tp.

You could try lowering some graphics settings, add this to minetest.conf:
smooth_lighting = 0
new_style_leaves = 0
enable_clouds = 0
enable_3d_clouds = 0
opaque_water = 1

Howdy! Perhaps
this will help. Yes, I know that it's titled
Server Performance, but it will probably help you with your lag.

At least it enhances your performance...
You can try this one, but your Minetest will look like crap

Is fog on?
Fog should always be kept on, Press R to toggle
"Enabled Full Range" is fog off
"Disabled Full Range" is fog on.
If it still lags, put the fog up by pressing "-".

ruben: F3 turns fog on/off. R turns on/off the ability to see everything you've explored in the distance (hence "full viewing range") and will almost always slow your computer *way* down. -/+ change the non-full viewing range.
