ok, so im new here.....
i would like to make a server, but i dont know how to...
i have Windows XP [SP3] , and the main problem is portforwarding...
i have a Thomson TG784 modem...
btw...I'm Estonian, so english isnt my main language, and also im 13.....
so if anyone finds anything written wrong or something, tell me!

"Modem"... Are you on a 56kbps connection? You can't host a server (it'd be unplayably laggy anyway) on a 56kbps connection.

Here is a guide for that model of router. Set it to port 30000 and protocol UDP.

dude my internet connection is between 500kb/s and 1mb/s depends if my family is using it too...

ok, now i have another problem.......
i made the .bat file with the code that i found on http://minetest.net/wiki/doku.php?id=running_your_own_server and every time i opened the .bat file, it closed instantly...
the code was the following :

Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.

Code: Select all: minetest.exe --server --gameid mesetint

it also said, that if it doesnt work, i should replace mesetint with minetest, but thatdidnt work either...
please help?

wait i think i got it...
i put a "pause" in the end of the code to see it, and it wanted me to pick a world cause there was multiply maps :D
im gonna have the server up and running soon
ill give all of you the IP then =)

OK!
My server is set up, but its also down sometimes, cause its still home-hosted...
so the IP is 90.190.79.31 and port is 30000 (as usual :D)
so if you want some mods, just tell me!

ok, thanks lily, but im not gonna add all of those...
