To install skins, goto minecraftskins.com
download a skin
copy and paste it into game > minetest > mod > default > models
rename it character

I'm not sure how to port forward :'(. But if you do figure out how to do it.
Could you make this a PvP server? There isn't a true PvP server out there right now.

First you have to have a static internal IP to your computer or a DHCP reservation, then add a rule to forward port 3000 (UDP) to your computer. Then, since you most likely have a dynamic external IP, you will need an account from No-IP

i have a verzon router and when i type 50144 into the global portstart and 30000 in the the global portend it says the port end has to be bigger than the port start

can i forward it to something like 50150

* Add a DHCP reservation to your computer

I don't like UPnP, don't mess with it!

You do need to open up that port in WinFirewall too

and you should get an account st NoIP!

it's not that hard, just do it!
