I thought I'd host a hunger games server soo...

Game: Hungry_games
Mods: the mods from hungry_games + WorldEdit
Privs: shout (interact will be automatically given if the game starts)

IP: sfan5.duckdns.org:30002
Status: Offline
Note: This Server serves the data as remote media, that means the client can download the data required by mods 150% faster

If there any problems post them here in this topic.

Edit: Oh and you also need AT LEAST 2 players to start playing

Awesome! I always wanted to play the hunger games in minetest.

Damage seems to be broken, can't attack other players even with a sword or an axe.
Also, I can't dig some nodes such as dirt.

1) Damage should work fine
2) I don't know much about the hungry_games mod, maybe thats intended?

In minecraft you can't dig at all, except for some things. ; )

No one can take damage, kind of defeats the purpose. :/

hi sfan5, it hear that damage is not working...
just a couple workarounds
First off try removing the 3d_armour mod, it might cause the problem.
otherwise if that doesn't work and if you are running the latest version of minetest you may want to update the default mod in the game, I am unable to work on hungry_games till next week and I havn't checked compatability with the latest minetest. I think I remember there was damage system change which might be resolved by updating default mod.
If neither of these fix the problem you may want to wait till next week when I will be able to fix the issue.
Although using the older version of hungry_games should work, as a server was being hosted previously with that version (unless there are compatibility issues).

It is nice to see someone hosting one again. I remember a little while ago i tried but due to lag and limited resources(and oter people -.- ) i had to have it taken down. Thanks for running one will try it out later

The python SimpleHTTPServer crashed, I now fixed it

I have fixed the damage issues in the latest git of hungry_games, please notify me of there are any other major bugs players find. :)

there a bug with people logging off the server and the sever saying there still there???

You need to make some sort of automatic script that resets the map.

Server will be offline for 1 day

sfan5 some dude trolled the place some weeks ago with lava please remove the lava bucket since its useless in hunger games to avoid bad stuff like this :D
