Please help! Does anyone know how to make a 'local server'? By this I mean I have 2 computers in my house, my laptop and my pc. My friend is coming around and we wanted to play multiplayer Minetest, just us two, with him on the pc and me on my laptop. The computers both have wifi. The pc is Windows XP and the laptop is Windows 7. Can I connect them both to a server hosted on the laptop, or pc? Without Remobo, or port forwarding, or anything like that.

On the host PC:
1) Press Windows+R, type in "cmd", then type "ipconfig" in the command line. Look for IPv4 Address and note it.
2) Start Minetest, go to "Advanced" tab, choose a world, input your user name and a password, put an empty address (nothing, not even a space) and port 30000.
On the other PCs:
1) Start Minetest, go to Advanced tab, type in the IPv4 Address of the host PC, an username and optionally a password, port 30000.
This does not require port forwarding, but might require firewall tweaks on the host PC (some overzealous firewalls can block local connections).

Thanks! I don't think we use a firewall-might have to check. Another thing- is there any way to set a default spawn point? I don't mind if it is a mod.
