I am trying to set priveleges for my modded private server.
Here is my auth.txt:
Admin::interact,shout,money,fly,settime,noclip,fast
Dan::interact,shout,money,fast
Seb::interact,shout,money,fast

However every player (i.e. Dan and Seb) have noclip, fly etc. even though they don't have them on this list. Help?

Is the server running? You shouldn't edit files while the server is running.

No, no. I shut down the server, change the auth.txt, then reboot the server, and we can both still do everything.

Not sure why that doesn't work. Try running '/privs username' to see what privs they actually have, then run '/revoke username priv' and '/grant username priv' to add/remove privs.

THANKS SO MUCH MENCHE! THAT MAKES IT WORK! NO MORE SERVER SHUTTING DOWN, THEN CHANGING AUTH.TXT! THANKS SO MUCH! BTW, does it change the auth.txt by doing these commands? If so then I was probably doing something wrong before...

Yes, of course.
