Id never think just looking through the forums id find somebody requesting me as a moderator. well You need to add these settings to minetest.conf:
server_name = A Server!
server_description = A more detailed description
server_address = example.com
server_url = http://forum.thread.or.website/
server_announce = 1

Ill be a moderator for u LOL. i have moderated for many servers.

You will need to forward a port for it to work.
