Have you been on? I havent but I live near to him and I was the one that told him how to run a server, I was the one the downloaded and tested every stinking mod for him gave him them, stuck them in his files, changed his .conf file for him so it ran the way he wanted it helped him gather materials to grow melons, pumpkins, corn, and wheat! so I believe I do know what is in the server!

Or review and modify all the mods to work with your version and to your liking. Or only use your own. That's what I started doing.
