Ok, and about the damage problem? I don't receive damages from nothing from this mod and don't do damage without a mese sword. Stone sword is useless.

You need the latest version of this mob to run it on 0.4.6.

I have the git version from 12h ago... I am using my fork now.
-*-
The previous version never have damage but in this version I kill things with mese sword. But a stone sword or free hand don't product any damage even in a sheep. To strange.

I found the cause of my problem... I have a old game then I have a folder default in the mod folder this mod have definitions from the same items from the common but if this will loaded after the common I have wrong definitions of all. Case solved after removed this folder. (./mods/minetest/default)
Now I have only the problem with monsters don't hitting me (damage 0 all times).

The rat model is broken: Image
I would also prefer something more blocky.

EDIT: Sheep texture updated
EDIT2: Also rotate the model by 180°.

It turned out that the flying rats bug is caused by the new object-object collision in the engine.

What about scale? Rat`s height is 2 unit in blender.

Thanks! The size is good. I have added it.
Can you also create models for the other mobs that are in the mod? This would be really aweseome!

I`m working on oerkki and making animations: simple-walking and angry(when oerkki follows player).
Also I have no idea how dirt-,sand- and stone- monsters look like.
Are there some concepts?

I have no idea what the element monsters should look like.
Does the rat you gave me have any animation? If yes, then please give me the animation ranges.
The API of simple mobs does support different animations for normal walking and attacking, so your oerkki idea should work.

Looks a lot better for minetest_game. Although the top of the muzzle still seems diagonal... the sort of thing I was hoping could be avoided.

Once again, let me know if anyone has issues with animating and exporting the model properly in Blender. Don't forget to check the player model's blend file too if anyone needs an example (as well as the player.lua script).

check out my texture pack or game Dwarves. there is some kind of idea how it should look like. I also posted some of them here, in this topic, but it would be hard to find it.

Added, although the animation jumps back if it reaches the end.

The head is too tall on the second rat, it makes it look goofy.

Technically, first one is better and more accurate. But for a default Minetest mob it needs to be blocky (and not bend blocks), else it breaks the style in my opinion. People can make models that can be installed manually later on, offering high-poly meshes with detailed textures and animations for those who want them.

Object collision fixed in the engine, so rats dont fly away anymore by colliding with themselves.
