This mod has been done many times but none of them used the tree group to do it.

Adds:
- A recipe to cook any tree into a coal lump.

Is this something like the charcoal mods?

Yes. Exactly but without charcoal itself. I'd be happy to add charcoal instead of using coal if someone wanted to make a texture for it.

This mod is very simple, but extremely useful.

Now I can use the coal for more than specific crafting recipes or having it over loading my storage room.

Its nice having a renewable fuel source, plus you can multiply the coal output with More Blocks installed by tossing the micro-block versions of the logs into the furnace.
