I'll see what I can do. I don't have much experience with formspecs, but I'll see what I can do.

I have already filed an issue and a pull request through GitHub that you may want to look over.

Such an interface to communicate with mobs would be very nice. My mobf_traders mod does the trading part already. For quests or just more immersion, having a chat with a mob would certainly be great. There's a bit more to that than just showing the formspec. It also requires easy ways of constructing those chat scripts. Do you have any particular plans in that direction?

The textures provided by this mod are a bit big. I'm afraid we won't get suitable pictures for all mobs concerned. Perhaps they could show diffrent animations depending on relationship with the player.

You may want to change the download link in the first post to use the GitHub download (https://github.com/Rui914/mobtalker/archive/master.zip) rather than a Dropbox download. That way it will always link to the most current version of the mod.

i actually downloaded and installed the AI Howie last night. in the next few weeks i may port him to minetest. after i finish a few more projects. then we would have full on ai buddies

howie is an of shoot of A.L.I.C.E and alice is the original chat bot. she was put together by hundreds of people she is open source. you can download her stuff (which is just an AIML processor) load her into your terminal and have full conversations. :)

I installed mobtalker and found the mobtalker-item in the inventory. But how can I use it? I searched for informations but I did not found anything!

Can you help me, please. It is for use with school pupils.
