Hi everyone this is my mailbox mod! It adds a mailbox that can only be accessed by the placer but people can put in any stuff they wish but they can't take it out. Now you can access your items from any of your master mailboxes. Only you can see and take your own items. Everybody has their own unique code so they can only see their own. The master mailbox has a 4x4 space for putting stuff in and also produces a bit of light! I thought of the idea then realized that someone had already requested it: Click Here

No, no. What he wants is the mailbox to check for the puncher's name, then load the puncher's mail into inventory, a one-box-serves all solution.

Yes. Any player can goto any mailbox to check their mail. I can also send to any player from any mailbox.

do u have any idea how i can code that?

I have a hunch the solution is somehow connected to using a textfile as a DB to store info, although he'll probably point towards the armor mod, which uses a detached inventory.

there is no 2 minute solution... have a look at other mods that use detached inventories, eg: creative inventory and craft guide. bags is not a great example because the inventory is only detached so that i can prevent you putting a non-bag into the bag slot. Armor is the same. However both bags and armor show you how to use the players inventory (in a slot they cannot see) to store a copy of what is in the detached inventory. (the detached inventory does not save when the server reboots)

So like a master mailbox where u can access all mail? Can a moderator move this to mod releases

if you make a mailbox node that allows players to access their mail from any mailbox, i'll make an auction house node that delivers the winnings to the mailbox.

Aqua sorry your textures not done I only have 2 hours a day recently but would you mind if I did a version similar to default chest for now and then make a new one?

Please add a repository so we can donwload your mod if the uploader gets down. Or if somebody will want to make a pull request with changes.

What's a repository? I've got github but I have no idea how to use it...

Anyway, uploaded an alternate link and version 2 with Chinchow's textures for bigger mailbox(6x4)!

So I think the mailbox needs more features but I understand it would be difficult do you have any plans for the mod?
