I am pretty sure this modpack was around before the 'wardrobe' mod so it is really the other way around imo.
You can probably assume a conflict here, however I am working on a clothing mod of my own, see the WIP mods section for nore info.

I seem to have encountered a bug with the preview image, when it tries to load, it fails leaving a blank image, but everything else is working fine.

I'm using it with Inventory ++, Simple Skins, Bags, and Zeg9's craft guide, if any of those mods might have a conflict with 3D Armor.

This mod has always worked perfectly for me so long as I have zeg9 skins mod installed along with it;
without it present though, the armor preview images are tiny and offset to the upper left corner of the character image.

Havent had a chance to check out the latest update tho
a clothing addon sounds pretty cool.

The simple_skins mod does not supply a preview image but this is indeed a bug which has hopefully now been fixed in git master. 87af6e0

I've not come across that one but I will look into it.
And thanks, the clothing mod is still very much a WIP though I will be making some updates shortly.

Inside of right arm is transparent during walking. I think you may recognize it using third person front view. I am using Minetest 0.4.12 with 3D Armor 0.4.3.

This should now be fixed in current git master, thank you for reporting it.

Something I don't understand though is how the heck flipping one normal would add 10k to the filesize...oh well :/

If you die with a full or nearly full inventory with armor on, any armor that doesn't have room disappears. Is that supposed to happen?

You are right I guess, that's how it would work currently, I am really not sure what the consequences of that should be. Drop the items on the ground perhaps? I suppose that would be consistent with mining.

I think they should drop. It's better than losing your almost-new diamond armor because it couldn't fit in your bones.

I tend not to use the bones mod at all in standalone and on xanadu server and have tweaked most mods to simply drop items for ease of use...

This is now the default behaviour when using the bones mod, thanks for reporting this issue.

I agree, that is much better for pvp and servers in general. I'm not a big fan of the bones mod either.

Really nice job, but some issue there :

Your mod is breaking BlockMen's "[Mod] Crafting [2.0.1] [crafting]", I I really want to use both. BlockMen said "3d_armor mod overrides the inventory every time you change your armor.", and to contact you :)

I have just tested using the most recent versions of each mod and cannot not see any problems personally. Could you please explain exactly what you mean by 'breaking', unfortunately BlockMen's crafting mod uses 'black magic' to me as I don't fully understand how it actually works. I will, however, do whatever I can to maintain support for it.

Hi stujones11,

The server MinetestForFun has begin a huge project. We are going to add spells, mana/solarmana, wizard hunter and warrior classes, and many other things with this changes... (when release, it will be posted on forum, for the community)
The fact is your mod is really well designed for warriors (plate/shoulders/helmet/shield), but for hunter/wizard, we need different armor models :
- wizard's hat,
- archer's beret,
- armor model with a very small thickness, for leather/cloth armor (lesser than the actual armor thickness)
- maybe a dress model ? but it's maybe very difficult because of the leggs...
- any other ideas are welcome

Maybe you've already work on this feature, maybe not... But please, can you help us ? :)

@Minetestforfun, I made this skin for leather armor,

I am still working on the boots and inventory images though.
right now the boots and belt are from the Summerfeilds texturepack,

Wow ! that's a really great leather armor skin for our future hunters :p

We need a second skin "less armored" for hunters, with an another colour and with a "beret" or a "scarf on head", but the color isn't decided yet for the second skin... (maybe green ?)

Change the folder name from minetest-3d_armor-master to minetest-3d_armor and try again :)

Sorry, it turns out this was a genuine bug/typo in a recent commit. This has now been fixed in the current git master. Thanks for letting me know.

Unfortunately, that's not going to be so easy without big changes to the model and to the mod itself. I do, however, plan to include much more flexibility in future versions of this mod and will keep these ideas in mind when I finally get enough spare time to work on it.

You could take a look at the 'multiskin' branch (github) which incorporates an additional clothing layer, though probably not quite what you're after, you could maybe use the multiskin mod as the base for your own custom armor mod.

There seems to be a serious problem with your installation, it's telling you that the file or directory does not exist!
I personally have no clue about installing mods on a windows platform (never done it) but the following links might be helpful.

I will soon be adding crystal armor along with support for the ethereal mod. TenPlus1 has done most of the work on this and you can find the crystal armor textures here https://github.com/tenplus1/3d_armor. Any chance you could include those icons too?

Cool. Yeah, I notice he's done the shields as well. I've just finished up a full set of technic armor (minus the shields, at the moment).

Thanks, nice job with the technic armor btw, I will include that as part of the modpack. I think people will complain about the lack of shields, however, I will add those if you get round to creating them, your graphical skills are clearly much better than my own.

Hi Stu, is it possible to have an invisibility armor, which can only be used for a small amount of time, but can be used by normal clients? It would make some PvP servers lot more interesting...

That's an interesting idea but I'm not sure armor would be the best vehicle to provide such a feature. Something like a potion or a cape would be more in-keeping with most of the RPGs I've played. Also, it would be a bit of a nightmare with the current skin mod support.

I will keep the idea in mind, along with those of Minetestforfun, for the 'next generation' 3d armor mod.
