Finally, something to do with all of that extra plastic sheeting from homedecor/pipeworks.

Craft from a ring of 8 plastic sheets, then optionally dye (v2+) by placing in the crafting grid with a dye.

License: WTFPL

v1:
Initial release, plain boxes only.
Depends: homedecor

v2:
Added dye capability via unifieddyes.
Depends: homedecor, unifieddyes

v2.1:
Made compatible with plain dye mod (part of minetest_game)
Depends: homedecor, [unified]dyes

I'm not really doing versions anymore...

Is the plastic flammable? If it is, then it better be kept away from fire.

The blocks don't quite look like they are made of plastic.

Is this mod made in China? (LOL)
Cool idea.

Nice mod. Finally a use for all those leaves!

Perhaps you could add semi-transparent/transparent plastic for windows and colored one for decoration as well.

It...uhm.......has...flame retardant. Yeah, that's it.

It was made in the USA. You can make plastic boxes with it in China if you want, though.

If you make me textures, I'll do it.

It's like wool, but plastic. I like the difference in colour and texture compared to the default wool colours. How to colour the blocks?

EDIT:

What are those brown things in the grass in the screenshot.

and...

nice tree in the middle there

What mod is it?

They are colored by placing a block in the crafting grid along with a dye from unifieddyes. Note that this only works with v2.

I don't know what mod that is. You'll have to ask VanessaE - I downloaded the collection of mods from her.

How about some milk carton crates? They are made of plastic and could be used for decoration and storage purposes.

Actually I based the textures on the default dye colors, so if you used the "groups" method in your recipes, unified dyes shouldn't be needed at all.

I think that is undergrowth.

Milk carton crate? is that a thing? I do agree that plastic does come in different shapes. It is one of the most flexible materials to design with.

The git hub now includes all shapes and sizes of plastic. Will need the moreblocks mod installed so they can be made from the table saw.

This mod is now supported by my spray booth/colormachine mod.

The name of this mode is strange.
Rather it's a plastic block and not a plastic box because we can't store anything in it.
But I like the idea, thanks for your works.

Downloading the most recent forum attachment (plasticboxv2_1.zip) ought to work. If it doesn't work for you, you might as well use github: master.zip.
