Technic Training Camp

I started playing around with the Technic mod and discovered that there's a lot to learn if you want to play with this mod installed, and playing in Creative Mode isn't necessarily the best way to learn.

So I created this Training Camp where you can access resources fairly quickly and easily and you have a Craft Guide to teach you how to make things.

You start off in a very well equipped workshop with a full array of Low Voltage appliances and chests all set up and networked properly. Home has been set to this workshop as well, so if you get lost you just have to type the command "/home" to immediately return there.

It's almost dawn when you start and you have a set of Stone tools but nothing else.

You have a well established mine with 5 levels where you can easily collect materials, each level is 40 blocks wide, 150 blocks long and 5 blocks high. Each of these levels has had the stone removed by World Edit but everything else has been left in place. Be careful, there's monsters in there as well as many unexplored caves.

Each level also has a chest that can be used to transport everything you've collected back to the chests in your workshop. (home) Just punch the yellow arrowed block once for each stack of items you want to send home.

Hi MineYoshi,

So far you are one of only 2 people that has said they like my maps, although I notice that a lot of people download them. Here's a couple of older ones you might like:

I like making maps as much as playing the game or building, sometimes I just like exploring.

Maybe you could give me some fresh ideas for maps to make.

Cheers,

Andrew.

a very big kirby ball...

or a city in the skies?

or then try making a Mini Minetest world in a glass box?

Anyways better get inspiration watching movies or listening music, that work pretty good for me!

Big cities. Although they are nice, they are hard to build and take forever.

You could try minigames. For these, you could use mesecons+pipeworks+technic or any other combination. For inspirations, you could look on the MC forums or MC videos. Examples of these are my Burning house & lucky block race maps.

Clever contraptions are also favoured.

Can you put the mods in a worldmods folder? The mods I have won't let the map load.

Yes indeed you should put it in a worldmods folder. That is the standard recommendation :)
