FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

I am currently making a Minetest version of the evern popular From dirt to bedrock Minecraft map by chez911. The map will support up to 3 players via LAN (as this will be a download. If you are interested in trying the map once it is done, email me at kylelewis57@hotmail.com with the subject "FDTBR" and I will email you the map file, as well as the mods folder.

Move the worlds and mods folder into their correct locations to play the map. If it doesn't work, contact me. Thank you!

The original map is by chez911 and can be found by googling "from dirt to bedrock minecraft".

If the server idea

Instead of packing mods folder, create game from it.. Then ppl just put it under games and it will work out of box without need of enabling mods..

If you mean compress the enitre minetest game folder, then sure. That can happen. Probably won't be done for a while though, so hold your horses!

I can package the minetest game folder. probably will be easier. Might not be done for a while though cause its just a past-time really :3 :3 :3 :3 :3 :3

Nope.. you can create set of mods needed and put it into one directory.. when you place this in games subdir then it act like new game for minetest.

Minetest itself is engine only.. minetest_game technic_game etc are games for that engine.

Am I the only one wondering why this is in the "servers" section?...

Ditto. My first thought was "And this has to do with servers how...?".

1st, this isn't in the server section (lol!). Second of all, this won't be done for a while, as this is only a side project to my main one. -_-
