In fact, you both have corn growing dont properly, an ear of corn grown around the middle of the stem and not one, but grows a flower on top )))

То была неправильная кукуруза :)

Minetest is not reallife simulator, so corn can grow whatever it likes :)

I'm having troubles in running this mod on minetest-0.4.dev-20111209-1. Here's the error:

This happens from 0.4 version of your mod to beyond. Anyone knows how to solve this? :)

@rahonejm the error message you posted doesn't contain the original error sorry can't do anything. I'm going to have a try on windows

EDIT1: As of 0.0.5 mod farming depends on a slightly modified version of flowers mod, did you meat that dependency?

@rahonejm I've just tried running minetestserver on winxp 32bit and it did run, what are you trying to run it?

Could you please run minetestserver on command line with parameter --info-on-stderr and give the output to me?

I assume you start a minetest server on windows doing something in commandline/or via shortcut:

Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.

...minetest.exe --server


you should add just after "--server" another switch "--info-on-stderr" this will tell minetest to print much more information to standard output. Hopefully there will be a hint why it doesn't work for you.

The other question was what windows version do you use, I tried winxp 32bit and didn't have any problems.

If you could also delete your debug.txt file then restart minetest then after it crashes pastebin.com your complete debug.txt file that would help ^_^

1. Why do the crops textures rotate to the player?
2. What are the strange block that look like presents, that are gathered from the plants?
3. Does farmland turn to grass with time if it doesn't have crops on it?

1. Why not a simple node like grass?
2. I have seeds, corn and this block got from corn. Strange.
3. Then we should have this. It's not very pretty to have farm block from mistakes.

The plants cannot be "plantlike" rendered (like junglegrass) because they are entities - it is possible to modify the C++ source to allow "plantlike" entities to be created.

because entities do have a life on their own thus beeing able to switch to next level on their own after a fixed delay but not only on random chance.

EDIT1:
By now the only use of straw is burning it / or use it to build anything

And no farmland won't turn back to grassland (but it's most likely to be added in next version)

because nodes don't have an fairly reasonable way to add custom data to it ;-)

@hackerized because no one supplied larger graphics and i aint a graphics guy ;-P
