Posted: Fri Dec 06, 2013 22:20Added to core you mean, no mod required? When I type /msg as admin with /grant all I get an error Invalid command... was the syntax changed, or has it been removed? OR by 'added to game' do we mean that the public messaging is meant to cover all bases? A private message "whisper" would definitely be useful, at least for admins/moderators or in game event coordinators.

Its in the engine, what version do you use?

Posted: Fri Dec 06, 2013 23:03AHA !! the syntax /tell <username> <message> works just fine not sure where that is documented, BUT now it is here for whoever might stumble across this post like I did...
I found it by typing /help and seeing the commands /say and /tell on the list
/say behaves the same as / then typing your message in the box for all to see
