[Mod] Lantern [v140318] [lantern]

Hello everyone,
here is my first mod! This mod adds some new blocks:
  • animated candle
  • small lantern
  • lamp
  • black fence
  • 4 lamppost (=6 node lamppost models, one lamppost in each direction)


Depends:
default (= is already included in the minetest_game)

Changelog Changelog [v140318 --> v140527]
  • fixed candle (can be digged immediately without tools)
  • black fence recipe is now shapeless
  • changed lamppost1 recipe
  • removed lamppost2, lamppost3, lamppost4 recipes (they are shapless craftable from lamppost1)
  • added two new recipes for lamp and lantern
  • removed the recipe picture folder

The candles are made of wax, wax is made of oil and they seem way too cheap.
It's a good mod anyway.

Yeah I already recognised that candles are too cheap. I change that in future.

Update
I added philipbenr's lamppost suggestion, changed the recipes (they are more expensive now), animated the candle and uploaded this mod to github. ^^

The candle is already animated, but my animation looks very poor ... (T_T)

improves image candle in inventory_image!(very small)
bad eyestrain!

Edit:
black fence does not seem interesting!
consider a utility mod .... with lanterns

As far as I see in non-creative with an axe.

Ah, that works.
It's a really nice mod, but that probably ought to be fixed. You should be able to remove a candle with any tool just like a torch, especially with your bare hands.

I can't remember that I've ever added the feature that the candle is not diggable without tools :D
I fixed it, now you can remove it with your bare hands without tools immediately.

I partially just wanted to bump this up to be noticed by new players, but mostly I wanted to let you know your mod is quite tasteful and well done.

How about making some colored lamps (with an optional dependency on Sokomine's colormachine)?

I most of the time get lost in caverns that are stretching out and splitting up. Colored lanterns could mark the routes I'm taking.

I like the idea of colored lamps to mark different routes. I will create them. ^^
