FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

Hi all!

I was wondering if there were any plans to port the mobile version to Windows Phone OS?
Would it be too difficult because it is not Linux based OS?

Minetest would also be a great game to have available on the new Ubuntu Phones :)

Does the Windows phone like FLOSS projects? What is their licensing like?

I am not sure what they require, I googled WP+FLOSS and found this:

MS changed the rules for the Windows Phone Store so that GPL and similar licensed code can be distributed with it.

I just got a new Lumia 435 running WP 8.1. (This had literally double the specs of other similarly priced phones), and the only app I want that is missing is Minetest

I have a nokia 635, and all the other alternatives are soooooo shytty, that they are not worth installing. This includes buying MCPE for about $5

Well, now it's running Windows 10 Mobile... Perhaps we could take a look at the UWP?

Some friend have a Nokia Lumia with WP8, he wants i install MC there, i can install Minetest instead, if at least someone wants to make a version for the WP8!


I don't know, i like this idea, is a chance to make Minetest "explore new horizons"!
