YAAAAAAAY!!!!! Sorry for my over-excitement, but finally there is an official version :).
I like the screenshots, and hopefully more people will download the official version and not view it as a copy of Multicraft or Worldcraft or the millions of others.
To the site admins, you might want to update
http://minetest.net/downloadsOnce I edited the gui scaling, it worked great,......that is, less bugs and problems than before.

I just checked the link provided in the first post, and everything looked right, I already installed it so I couldn't try installing it again, not sure why it's not showing for you.

Hope it will get added to F-Droid as well as that's a place where it definitely belongs to.
The GUI scaling factor is a problem right now. I touched its buttons, and the gui got too large, without any way of resetting it. I had to edit the minetest.conf manually. Most phone/tablet users will not know about this possibility.
Also crafting was a bit strange. I've yet to figure out how to split stacks of items and do some actual crafting. Craft results (wood and later on sticks) did not appear immediately in the inventory but took further "clicks".

Sokomine: the F-Droid process is on the way, talk with est31 on IRC for this :)
For the crafting bug you mention, if you are playing online it's a problem on master branch which has been solved yesterday

Now it's also available on the
f-droid app store. There were some issues with ndk versions and f-droid's build machine being 32 bit and the android Makefile only supporting 64 bit, so it took some more time than the play store, but all are resolved now. enjoy!

That is great news! I'm sure a lot of people who are intrested in coding will see it on F-Droid. It's also a plus for that app store as it's rather short on games.

Splitting stacks confused me as well but I figured it out. When you tap on am item it shows in the upper left corner pinch out over the space you want to put some of the stack. It takes a little getting used to but actually works pretty well.

Thank you for an official build!
Just a note, in F-Droid this seems to be uninstallable in x86, but it installs from Google Play. Any idea why?

The APK is for ARM not x86

In that case, I like to share that from
the entry in Google Play it was installed on an x86 device (Dell Venue 7) and has been running properly. It even picked the configurations, mods, and single player world from previous 0.4.10 installation in that device.
Maybe the process of building it for Google Play involved compiling it for both platform? If that's true, and you can find the x86 APK, you can just publish that as the official x86 APK.
Thanks!

arifsaha, when you upload apk files to android, they are already built, either for ARM or for x86. As nrz is uploading those files, he knows best. Now either google has a way to compile bytecode from ARM to x86, or your device can somehow emulate ARM.

Google Play Store doesn't care about architecture, you give it a apk with a AndroidManifests and it recognize the architecture and supported phones directly.
