A quick question...

by Mcc457 » Thu Oct 17, 2013 21:17

I know Minetest supports player skins, but do the models support high resolution skins, something higher than 64x32. Minetest doesn't have a 3rd person camera out yet, and I was wondering because the project has high resolution player skins.

Working on a sub-game; mostly based texture packs, adventure and soon chemistry...

I would assume it does. What would prevent using high-res skins? Texture packs can basically be any resolution that's a square, don't know why player skins would be different.

You can look at a skin by starting a game from the "server" tab, then starting another game and connecting to "127.0.0.1" (that address tells it to connect to your own computer).

Thank you! I'll try that!

Minetest does support higher resolution textures, but they are not very common since MC does not support them, and most people take MC skins.
