An interesting thing about the new client.

Ok so i snoop around all the files and of coarse found this anyone thats remotely curius probly already found this but for everyone who hasnt check this out:D
so go into minetest folder
then /user
now theres one file called "minetest" and another called "minetest.conf"
Basically all the conf file command to change thing are in the "minetest.conf older. theres alot of options:D
# This file is read by default from:
# ../minetest.conf
# ../../minetest.conf
# Any other path can be chosen by passing the path as a parameter
# to the program, eg. "minetest.exe --config ../minetest.conf.example"
#
# By default, all the settings are commented and not functional.
# Uncomment settings by removing the preceding #.
#
# Further documentation:
#
# NOTE: This file might not be up-to-date, refer to the
# defaultsettings.cpp file for an up-to-date list:
#
# A vim command to convert most of defaultsettings.cpp to conf file format:
# :'<,'>s/\tg_settings\.setDefault("\([^"]*\)", "\([^"]*\)");.*/#\1 = \2/g

The minetest.conf file was just moved. It's still 1.5 year old.

not a moderater that would obviously know about itXD
please no one say "oh this isnt new," I KNOW ITS BEEN THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Avoids the start of a running joke...

Yeah, it's helpful to look at it from time to time and see what can be tweaked.

Remember when I mentioned a carriage return back in this thread?

http://c55.me/minetest/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1099

I don't think it was you. I ran into it this morning myself when I put a texture path line in the middle of the settings. Whenever I reloaded the file, the carriage return was gone and the line was split. I put it at the bottom and it's been fine since.
