Texture packs: texture aliase?

Hello,

some games add their own version of a commonly used mod. Like 3d armour, Lord of the Test has its own textures for it. Obviously they have other names like lottarmor_boots_steel.png for the steel boots.

This leads to the unfortunate situation that the TP has the right texture but has the wrong path.

If MT was only a Linux game that wouldn't be a problem because symlinks could easily fix that without increasing the size of the TP.

Is there a way a TP can define an alias? So that lottarmor_boots_steel.png and 3d_armor_boots_steel.png point to the same file?

l don't think it's possible yet.
symlinks may work for windows, too
