Plants have black borders
I'm wondering why grass has a dark border. Any idea? Looks weird

Found the reason. It's the bumpmapping.
But grass has still a "border", but green. Why?

Normal, that's the slight shadow caused by the relief mapping.

If you turn off "Generate Normalmaps" MT will use the ones in your texture pack, which should look better.
