I downloaded the zip file to someones map. How do I get minetest to load it? Or How do I play it?

When I load the map it can't load the images.

Images? Do you mean textures? Mod textures? If a world has a mod you don't have things from that mod will become unknown blocks.

Basically when I try and load a map made by someone else i get a blank screen.

I was able to load a forest map but most wont work.
This one worked for me.
