Yes, mobf has the animal "dm" (dungeon master) which lives in dungeons with lava and chests. These vaults are a nice addition to the game. If you don't want the mob but only the vault have a look at animal_dm/vault.lua and make sure that that file is loaded. But without the dm, no one guards the chests.

survival* and yes, i do agree with you gambit, i just dont see why the people of Minetest need to add them based on one mans opinion
