Q - Sound - Is Sound Off the Same as Volume 0 (Zero)

by LazyJ » Wed Mar 20, 2013 05:04

Something I've been wondering about... is turning off the sound in minetest.conf (enable_sound = false) the same as turning the volume down to 0 (zero) in-game?

My guess is not but I would like to know for certain.

Merely turning down the volume doesn't stop Minetest from processing the sound, it just makes the sound so quiet that you can't hear it. Correct?

Dunno, I think it does turn off the sound as Spotify skips like crazy when I dig with my Mese Pick, but when it's 0 it does not skip, so it's possible.
