Not all mods, obviously, but there's definitely a largely unexplored niche for mods which generate buildings and roads rather than hills and oceans. Imagine a zombie-survival type subgame which starts you in the middle of an abandoned city where you search for food and weapons to fend off the zombie hordes, or a subgame where you can explore vast ancient ruins buried underground.

Oh, don’t insult the beasts ;) They are more intelligent than many a human. And only intelligence without emotion is boring.

So I would say: building is of gods, because that needs both. We all are little minetest-gods ;)

Ok, I understand, you’re right: when mods can generate "natural" maps - why not generate something big "artificial".

But I think: npc buildings, villages look all the same, the more of them you discover - even the great mg_villages with so much variation - because they are functional.
Why does Lord of the Test not generate Imladris, Erebor, Minas Tirith etc?

That's the moment where I hope that you'll consider building your own houses. After all that's what the game is about :-)

Upload them to a host such as imgur, then put the link to the image inside [img.] [/img.] tags

MiThrill electric roller coaster

info:
-separate power, brake, and que door circuits
-braking system with track mover piston (so the minecart doesn't accelerate into the next dimension)
-motorized que doors
-togglable track power

Incredible, PEAK.

Please consider sharing your maps here.

I already was considering this. But there are some issues: I have modified a lot of the mods I use (for example I added stairs and slabs to a recent version of grail-test...) - and: as you can see, some glass textures are "borrowed" from another well-known voxel-game ;) I must not share them.

But we’ll see...

You could put the mods in a worldmods folder.

OK. Only one file https://forum.minetest.net/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=13760 - others are unfortunately too large...

Update: Download for Quartz Palace https://forum.minetest.net/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=14241&p=211268

One of my long-term projects has a village of mushroom shaped houses. Each house has two floors and is fully furnished. I'm currently detailing the landscape around each house to settle them into the scenery. Adding things like gardens, workshops, foot paths, fountains, etc.

Here some shots from Liberty Lands. The player Evil is building a fortress with the slopes mod.

The Fortress design looks a bit like a Panopticon, but that's not intentional. Evil asked me to post this in the forum.

Building by him, screenshots made by me.

@LazyJ Cool! Me and Lor made a mushroom town on the Redcrab server a few years ago kind of like this.
