Like others, I started looking for an alternative to Minecraft recently. You have made my transition from Minecraft really easy and painless. I am very interested in learning lua for making mods.
I have some experience with graphics software, website creation and I am a musician and composer, using live instruments plus digital tracks for my work. This has given me an interest in programming because I often have to find work-arounds for software limitations.
Minetest has inspired me to learn more about coding especially for making mods. I was working on a resource pack for Minecraft including new textures, sounds and music, but there were too many limitations. Now I can learn how to apply those skills to Minetest and the community here instead.
