Am I the only one who is not satisfied with Minetest's logo?
I've been tinkering, and I came up with a
Moka based icon.

I think the default looks nice. It describes perfectly what the game is.
Your logo looks good for a mobile version of minetest.

Your logo is nice but I don't have any problem with the official logo

Your image is just too simple, it could be used for.. everything.

The official logo doesn't look good on anything. I realize this one isn't a huge improvement, but I looks better.
I am going to keep working on a better logo.

"Better" is a subjective term.
My personal opinion: The current icon for the game is fine, but offering different styles for different users as addons/separate content is nice. Some will find your icon nice, e.g. if they are using the Moka icon style and want to keep things consistent (or even use it as the icon for a minimalistic style subgame).
There's also a Faenza-style
icon set.
TL;DR more options are better.

I will be clear. Almost EVERYBODY likes the Minetest icon. Yours looks like a cheap copy of Minecraft icon. No, just, no.
Your logo, doesn't says anything besides ''Hi! I'm a cheap copy of Minecraft! Please don't play me!''
Really. I like the Minetest logo more than almost any other icon.
Yours look like a mobile phone icon, and anyways, you need to polish it more if you whant it to be good.
It doesn't describes the game at all! It can be anything.

That icon does not suite Minetest very well. Minecraft, however, it might suite.

I think we might need to modify some of the default logo, as there is some small mistakes,

I don't like how the logo isn't buildable in the game

Ehm, yes it is.
EDIT: Are you talking about the current minetest logo or the one Josh proposed?

No it isn't. If you want to build the cactus and tree trunk only one block wide, then it doesn't work because there are "half blocks" (marked in the rectangle in the pic attached).

Something I had a go at when I first started playing. Simplistic but close.

I remember recreating this with Jordach, but we had non-walkable invisible blocks which stopped water. So it isn't really buildable in normal minetest_game

That's not the problem...
There are some parts that are not an even number of blocks, such as the top part of the stone.

Is it really necessary to be that picky about it? Why would a logo have to be 100% buildable inside of the game? I think the fact the it is buildable in game at all is rather cool.
(even if it isn't 100% accurate)

Why not?

This is a stupid argument. So far the logos suggested aren't as good as the current one. Building it exactly to scale ingame really doesn't matter, it's a logo. The logos built look so similar that it doesn't make much of a difference.

What is it with you and being accurate? Just earlier you were complaining how the minetest logo couldn't be built
exactly in minetest_game, and now you are complaining how a logo that can be built 100% in game isn't exactly accurate to the minetest logo.
