Sound pack?

by MykieDoesStuff » Fri Nov 14, 2014 01:51

So we have things like texture packs and etc... I was wondering, can there be sound packs? Let say on a server they have fireplace mod, but I did not like the sound of it and I want to change the cracking sound of the fire into a hum or some sort realistic sounds. How would I do this?

He means replacing mod sounds with sounds provided client-side, in the same way we can do with textures.

This what I found that can be classified as "sounds pack":
Inocudom's Custom Sound Effects

You may use ogg sound files from the webs If you want.

Maybe I should be more clear in the title..... I mean that like you know.... as other stated from Kaeza "He means replacing mod sounds with sounds provided client-side, in the same way we can do with textures."

No, only textures can be replaced client-side, not sounds and models.

In minetest you can store sounds client side in the testsounds folder. I put the technic music box music there and I'm able to listen to it on servers with the technic mod installed. But the sounds of the soundpack don't replace the ones of the server, they're the secondary choice.
