I'm building a rather large castle, and when I try to take a screenshot from a distance (typically at 200-250 blocks distance, for aesthetic reasons), parts of the building do not render. I typically have two problems:
1. The parts furthest away do not render. I believe that this can be changed by setting the min/max render distance (press keys like +, R, F3). But this is not always satisfactory, as I'd like to include the landscape behind it too, and it just refuses to render a very large picture, totally sacrificing the framerate. (For a screenshot I would accept a 1 fps, which I'd set back to something workable when I got my picture).
2. Walls in the front of my building do not render, and instead I see the staircases that I built behind it. Obviously, when an outer wall is missing, things look weird. Pressing R, F3, + or - does not seem to help with this second issue. Only moving (much) closer helps, but that ruins my screenshot as the angle changes.
Any way to solve either of these two issues? (And perhaps they are related and can be solved simultaneously?). All help is welcome. I'm still quite a noob.
