Default window size (minetest.conf?)

Is there a way to change the window size of minetest so that it opens up at that size? I think it would be in minetest.conf, but I wouldn't know what to say. I would want the window to open at 1280x800 not 800x600, or whatever it opens at.
Anybody have an answer?

Use the screenW and screenH options for this. Like so:
Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.

Sometimes, it's helpful to look into the minetest.conf.example file.

I've misunderstood those settings I guess. I thought all along that was for the size of your screen when in full screen.
Good to know :)

This should be a setting in the settings tab.

Good idea!
But, where it will be placed? The settings tab is already full. Should we add dialog for shaders? So, there will be MORE room in it.

Could it be a drop down menu under Rendering?

What do you mean?
If you mean the shaders settings, NO. You can't just ONLY select one shader.
If you mean the window size settings, can you suggest the sizes?

Okay,
Thanks for the link.
Will try to code it after I'm done with my "language option".

The game should detect it automaticly
Game detect system language so why not detect screen sizes too

Screen sizes are easy to detect. The question is whether the user wants to run fullscreen at (say) their desktop resolution or in a window. If they want to run it in a window (the default) then monitor/screen/display resolution really doesn't play a part at all.

Most of people has very little knowledge about computer stuff. So theyhave no idea about editing config files and most people dont follows forum threads to learn. And many people doenst like to play a game windowed mode.
I think it should detect automatic and there should be an option in settings menu for nonfullcreen
