FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

This is not a Post your screenshots, this is a how do you build things topic.

Right, I tend to build just like in real life, it is slightly easy to grief (you don't have to write this, optional). Now. Here is the fun part, if we see a problem with the design, we can improve on it, rather than keeping it monotonous and plain. Spice up your buildings, give them something to live for, be creative, never let a greifer let you down.

so that everyone has no idea what the hell i was thinking!

i build houses castles and nonsenical things that confuse all but me :P Greiver protection to me is sky buildings lava buildings underwater buildings and moving infuriatingly far from the spawn. many of my things would be easy to grief if they weren't so damn hard to find, i like building replicas of thing i already built only with something different about them and maybe vertical instead of horizontal :D

I build in modules... testing each element in local server mode before adding to a project.

I build just what comes to my mind :D

I build with tall ceilings in all my buildings.

Cool, I'd like to make some server to make stuff like this, creative, (in survival mode, and if you need stuff, you should ask me or whoever.) but since the last time I tried, (you remember right?) I got shit for it so, if anyone can spare stuff, the go ahead. ;)

I build what ever I feel like building. Example, I'm currently building a colosseum on raphael's server. Which, when finished, will be for players to fight. :D

There's swords. No shields. Mob AIs aren't that great yet. So I've built a pool/pit which will be filled with water, nothing, or lava. Depending on the difficulty the fighters want. :P But there's bow n arrows also, so I've built 4 small towers for that.

No you dont, just needs around 18 blocks horizontally, and as many vertical.

I thought you me ment numbers on the face of the clock tower I made

I build random structures...randomly...usually buildings and I like to do my roofs by doing the stair method.
