Puzzle Islands
Lunarhiro's First Adventure/Puzzle Map. (I'm also a beginner with redstone...Mesecon things)

The Story:

You are a poor bounty hunter in search of the Legendary Mese Ores. You hope to find enough to buy shelter for you and your pet rat. You heard about some Flying Islands that could possibly help you find your way to riches.

The Rules:

1. You may NOT break any blocks unless told to. (The signs will tell you.)
2. You may NOT fly or use speed walk. (J and K are out!)
3. Upon dying you may redo the part you died at, but you may NOT skip it or cheat to finish it!
4. Any blocks given to you MAY BE USED TO BUILD A BRIDGE OR SOMETHING YOU MIGHT NEED IN THIS MAP!
5. Do not steal from the Bounty Shop. Jungle Grass is the Currency. Simply swap the grass with the Item you want to buy.
6. Do not... please do not go the wrong way at the spawn point. That will ruin the whole purpose as I seemed to have...well...whatever next rule.
7. If you fall into the water under the Islands. Fly back to the START of the Island. Not where you fell off.
8. ONLY USE WOOD PLANKS on flowing WATER! My sister decided to skip a few puzzles by putting her mese block there... -.-

Some basics:

Sandstone = Needs to be powered by something.
Steel Block = May need to use something to continue.
Water flow Switches = Require some sort of blockage. This is quite easy by the way...just don't screw it up or you might flood the place.

How to get to the right character:

At the login screen use the name Bounty (It should already be there). There is no password so turn ON damage and start the map.

There are NO lit rooms except at the end. Torches should be used when needed. I have NOT yet seen a Dungeon Master...for some odd reason. Thank the lord. Torches will probably reduce the chance of them being invisible anyway so yea...who knows maybe they are there.

After finishing the main set of Islands, feel free to explore. I hid chests in some other areas as well. (Not too many , just to entertain you a little xD. Also make sure when you finish the map to fly up to the flying Island way above the Mountain. It's not too far from the end. Just fly straight and up. It will have some cool lil trinkets to play with as well as Recipes.

This is just like a minetest client, so don't get it confused with your actual one. I prefer you download my whole folder considering I have a texture pack, and some mods you MIGHT not have.



So please, enjoy, Tell me how it was, did you find all 7 Mese chests, any Ideas for new types of puzzles? Hell if you enjoyed it enough you could also try making a minetest Lets play of it xD. Either during the puzzle, After the puzzle or both! It's up to you :)

Also. How many Mese chests have you found? Tell me :)

how are you sapost to power up sandstone with nohing in the inventory/can go off island etc??

Look for the chest with the thing to power it.

Thank you :). Worked on it for 3 days. Around... night time mostly when My friend went afk while we were playing a maplestory private server. He would go afk for like... 4 hours so I had 4 hours in 3 days. 12 hours of work :)

So how many Mese blocks did you guys find? :o Theres 7 :)

Aha xD . Well every...and I mean EVERY. Island has one. Including the one made of steel.
Also my sister just played it... did I forget to give you enough energy giving plants to finish one of the puzzles near the end...?

I think so, still good job man, I wasn't really sure but ya I definently didn't do everything. Still playin:D

LOL noXD got stuck in a couple spots , but i made it to the question as i said, there was one spot that had a 3 block jump i swore i couldnt make but i did after about 100 trys:D

xD There's a way to make it a 1 block jump ;).

Alright, the download with the fixed ending is there. I only forgot 2 energy giving plants. (Won't say the name of the plant for a reason).

Nice! I finished it to the end (not without flying though :P, just a little...)
How much time did it take you to do that?

I may make one soon also. Simple parkour though. Just a training course for the ones to come.

Just played through. Not officially, because I make them. Not play. And I saw a few places where a parkour expert could get past most of the obstacles. But overall, it was good.

Thanks :). And it took me 12 hours total to finish this map.

I won't to make one to but some of the drops I'm making are to much, so people are gonna have to disable health on mine, it would be cool if there was cushion block to land on, and some zip lines, I'm recreating a lot of mirrors edge levels:D

Just put water, or a ladder at the bottom. Or use the water layer method.

Just repeat over the area of the landing. It's simple. I put it in a few test maps I made. But they were lost forever......
