That's not a dumb question.
1 Open minetest folder
2 Open minetest.conf
+ You may use a gedit or WordPad

Or if you're not too bothered about the type of flat world, you can just put mg_flags = flat into minetest.conf.

If you want the flattest world you can make using minetest's settings, here is what you put in your minetest.conf:
Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
Code: Select all
mg_flags = flat, notrees, nocaves, nodungeons

Any options for minetest.conf can be found in minetest.conf.example

AFAIK there is no way to turn off plants. (like cacti, grass, flowers, etc...)

Soo, if I want one of my worlds to be flat, what command thingie would I put into minetest.config? Or does this just make any world I create flat?

Any world you create with this in your minetest.conf will be flat.

You are welcome.
Note that my "superflat" mod does not use per world configuration.
EDIT: Update on my "superflat" mod, now save parameter in your world's folder.

Typo there :D

That only works for new world.
For existing world, edit the map_meta.txt. and it will take effect for ungenerated maps.
For deleting only map data (not the player, auth, banned) delete map.sqlite file.
