WTF?????? >_> I really hope someone clears this up because it looks like a real good ripoff of this forum...... This is fucked up

its a cool fan-site

It does give credit to celeron55 and it links back to the official sites. It doesn't look like anyone's trying to steal minetest.

Well it's a lot more presentable than the real site. It doesn't seem to be updated in a while though.

I don't know: / I still think they should take it down. It's could be taking people that could contribute from this collaboration of work. If they can download there why would you come here? But if it's not updated I can see how it might b ok but idk... : /

Minetest.com is not updated and shoukd be taken down!

I saw it earlier today while searching something on Google. XD

The owner should give that domain to c55 and/or allow the community to take care of the site. I mean, that domain name is perfect for an official Web site, and most people who are new to Minetest will be fooled to think it's the official one because of it.

You could also try getting minetest.org or minetest.net instead.

I think the maker of this site meant it very good by a fan. Look at the advantages.
Pro's:
* The nice graphical design will attract more players.
* Shows the content in a convinent way.
Con:
* We as a community do not have access to it.

Conclusion: We should try to make contact and work together. Who should do this?

I agree it does look nice and presents the mods in an appealing way. if anyone could get ahold of the maker of the site, it would be nice to keep people asking really simple questions off this forum. thereby reducing clutter in our collective work area.

I'm the owner of minetest.com. I just made the site as a small personal project, and have been rather busy lately, hence it not being updated.

Here is proof that I am in fact the owner of the site: http://minetest.com/saxony

Let me know what you guys want out of this site and I will do my very best to accommodate all of your suggestions. If you think changing it to a wiki format or including a separate forum there would be best then we can do something like that. Lets talk about it! Or if you'd like you can email me at admin@minetest.com

As far as celeron is concerned, he has contacted me in the past asking my intentions with the site and no more contact has been made since, so as far as I can tell he is not that concerned with it.

my suggestion would to make this a website dedicated to mods/texture packs/ and so on,the ones that are on there are displayed awesome, im not sure a forum for people wonting to know how to install things would be good:D And update your crafting section with every mod you add,(this i really wont) AND PLEASE dont change your format!!!! its very nice. hope my suggestions helped

That's pretty much what I had in mind with the site too! It's also nice to know you like the format, one of the main reasons I made it was because of how hard it was to find mods, texture packs and so on in the forums. I will try my best to update it as often as possible, but I am often busy and forget to update it for some time. Perhaps I will look into getting some help from the community in that aspect, allowing people to log in and edit things themselves might work.

hey saxony it looks like theres some messed up images in the cooking with furnace section in the crafting tab, looks like some of the images got partially erased. specifically the fuels section

I definitely need some way of making sure all the best new mods and texture packs make it onto the site
