FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

Hey I am kind of a noob to non-mod parts of minetest so gimme a little slack if I end up asking stupid questions. Is there any way to add custom menu music? or a way the scene rendered behind the menu UI? thanks! (Im in a contest with a friend right now :P )
