Is there a way like with trees to plant flowers by you so you can harvest the flowers for dye. Instead of running all over the world to find them.

No, not yet. It's an issue beeing discussed. At least once you've got one sample of each color you can craft further dyes from cheap sources such as coal or cactus. Or use my colormachine if that's installed.

If you create a green grass field and place a single flower it will eventually spread throughout the field giving you flowers to harvest for dye... IceAgeComing and bonny do this on Xanadu with their flower farms...

I suggested this feature for Minetest Game, making flowers farmable with seeds, but was outvoted by other MTGame devs. Problem is flower spread is very slow, and will eventually spread everywhere at a uniform density. I might add this feature in my moonrealm mod as a way to farm dyes for colouring wool.
