Minetest for Windows 10 Mobile

Since we have universal Store for apps on PC,mobile and tablet + easy port of Android apps on Windows with minimalistic code change and cheap ($19) account for publishing apps, i have a question : Are we (Windows users) going to get Minetest for Windows 10 (Mobile,PC,Tablet) ? Please don't say no because everything is a lot of easier to do when porting, for example Candy Crush Soda Saga. I will definitely play Minetest again if i see it on Store available for download :) Regarding players skin, mods and textures that should be in game just like Survivalcraft has, but it costs 4.99$. Thanks for every answer and i hope devs or mods won't ignore this message .

"cheap" relative to what? $19 means you have to pay something, while on other distribution channels (download at minetest.net, or F-droid for android) we have to pay nothing. Since when do you have to pay money in order to allow people to install your software?

Isn’t one of the main points in defending Windows that it is not necessary to use any kind of software management (whatever it’s called) but just downloading the executable and running it via double click?

Please just download the executable and run it via double click.

If you still like getting unregulated electro-colonoscopies, just do what the post above says.

  • Are there any Irrlicht ports to Windows 10 Mobile?
  • Do we have the money to pay to Microsoft?
  • Do we want to give money to Microsoft?
  • Does the Windows Store allow LGPLv2.1+ applications?

If the answer to any of those questions is "no", then we can't publish on Windows 10 Mobile.

Since you can pay annual fee for site hosting, you can also pay $19 for dev account (you pay it only once). Code can be edited in Visual Studio with minimalistic editing. But,all i hear is lame excuses to not publish app for store. In my opinion, don't make MT for Windows neither !

Asking if the store allows Apps with our current license is not a lame excuse. Since you didn't added more info on the subject, I tried to search info about. So far I found some documentation:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/mt148529.aspx#license
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/mt148529.aspx#copyright

Microsoft APP DEVELOPER AGREEMENT wrote:...N."FOSS" or "Free and Open Source Software" means any software licensed under an Open Source Initiative Approved License, a list of which is currently available at http://opensource.org/licenses/alphabetical.

Following your logic all the videogames on Steam (or almost all of them) should not exist on Windows.

I think that it would be wrong to give Micro$oft any more money
they distribute horribly restrictive proprietary operating systems spy on there used
and trick schools into using it and giving them money

no one should promote this operating system

So you can’t the “cheap ($19)” price for a dev account? Why do you thing “we” could?
