Did you, change your MAX_FPS and Wanted_FPS? since I get about 100 at times depends Texture PX and render time.

But Java and Minetest wouldn't be so open, to modding and bit more tricky setup on us Linux users. (I'm linux+Windows btw).

But I really think Minetest should be made in a program langauge that, can run off a website. Maybe php & MySQL.

Wow. Your words betray you. There will be Lua bindings for Java, so modding in Lua wouldn't be a problem. Php is run server side, not client side, and is a terrible and inconsistent language. You wouldn't be able run a client from php and mysql like you're implying. You'd need JavaScript, webassembly or **Java** to do that.

Well, I leave the decision up to the core developers of Minetest what programming languages they choose. :P
Currently it is C++ and Lua.

But my bet is that a switch to Java is extremely unlikely to happen, since it would probably a complete rewrite of the game and everything would have to be started over. So basically a “Minetest 2” or something. xD
It would be an immense amount of work and it is not clear if it would be worth the hassle.

I believe that Irrlicht has a webgl backend, so we might not even need a rewrite.

Minetest would probably be way too big to run under webgl and assembly. But try it though.
